THE BANYAN TREE Programme – PASSION, PERFORMANCE, PAYOFF

The Banyan tree is a special Programme that is designed to bring out the passion in you, guide you to perform to your fullest potential and make the payoff with your learning.

The Banyan Tree known as “Ashwath Vriksha” in Sanskrit and as quoted in the Gita, is famous for its properties of longevity, ability to spread over long distances, provide shade to travellers and allow its branches to give shelter and home to a host of lives. It is alternatively also called the “Kalpavrishka” or the “self fulfilling divine tree”.

The Banyan Tree Programme has been developed to help you anchor your life and work, to assist you in spreading your wings over large areas of expertise, to hone your skills hoist your life and start off your career in the most vibrant and lively colours and also to teach you the benefits of interdependency. We hope that this Programme will be self fulfilling in matters of skills development for all of you. The Programme consists of four parts as elucidated below.

Wilderness Experience

It is a 3 days outdoor management exercise, and is built on the concept of experiential learning. Just as you learn cycling by doing; experiential learning occurs through exercises and games that remain with you for years to come. The 3 day workshop will include living in outdoor camps, in the lap of nature, and will focus on bringing alive management concepts like: leadership, team building, risk management, planning & strategizing, decision making, creativity, interpersonal relationship, stress management, change management and effective communication.

Stand Up & Talk

This part of the Banyan Tree Programme will help you take away your fear of public speaking. It will enable you to stand up & talk in front of an audience and ensure that you are heard.

Group Discussion

This part of the Banyan Tree Programme will assist you in experiencing and mastering how and what to do in a group. You will be facilitated by experienced people with profound corporate and academic experience to give you tips and guidance to learn how to engage in useful discussions in groups.

Mock Interview

The Banyan tree will help to you prepare and perform well for interviews. We will take you through real time experience of interviews through proper drills.

CEO FORUM

JKPS believes that the students must be exposed to the corporate world and hence we conduct the CEO Forum wherein Chairman & CEOs of various companies interact with students and share their valuable experience.

FOREIGN COLLABORATION

The institute has entered into a foreign collaboration for student and faculty exchange Programme with a highly reputed University of California and is also going to enter into collaboration for study for a term at Italy with Turin University, Italy. Faculties from foreign universities have been invited to interact with students.

RESEARCH

We believe that while academic programmes bring visibility, quality research creates new knowledge. A high degree of attention is paid to the relevance and depth of research. Focus areas are rural marketing, corporate governance, financial management, strategic management, leadership excellence, talent management and supply chain management.

MANAGEMENT TRAINING & DEVELOPEMENT

JKPS has a full fledged department for Management Training & Development. It undertakes regular seminars, workshops and training programmes either independently or in association with major management associations like AIMA, DMA etc.
